2017 Isuzu D-Max LS makes local debut

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) recently unveiled the 2017 D-Max LS at the Marriot Hotel in Pasay City. The automaker claims that with its upgraded exterior and interior, the vehicle becomes more ergonomic as well as elegant.

“The upgrades received by the the 2017 Isuzu D-MAX 3.0 LS are designed to make a capable truck even more appealing and value-laden to consumers. The pickup truck segment is currently one of the most dynamic and competitive in the local market, and we believe that the very popular Isuzu D-MAX should always stay ahead of its rivals in terms of equipment level and competence,” said Hajime Koso, IPC president.

The refreshed D-Max is equipped with a more sculpted hood and a new front grill. Also included are the tweaked projector headlights that now come with LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The tailgate, on the other hand, now features a spoiler shape design following its upgrade. Other exterior features included are the LED taillights, power-folding side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals and the chrome door / tailgate handles.

Inside, the refreshed pickup features an upgraded instrument panel and multi-information display. This helps the client in reading the display easier and effectively creating less distraction while driving. Meanwhile, the manual models are now equipped with gear indicator display. This can be seen within the engine tempeature and fuel gauge cluster. Other features include: automatic climate control, leather seats and a 7-inch touchscreen display with navigation. New, however, is the smart key entry and engine start/stop button.

The 2017 D-Max retains the 3.0-liter 4JJ-TC (Hi) turbo-diesel with Variable Geometry System (VGS) producing an output of 163 PS at 3200 rpm along with 380 Nm of torque at 1800 – 2200 rpm. On the other hand, available transmissions for the 2017 D-Max include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed automatic with sequential shift.

Both 4x2 and 4x4 models of the D-Max will also get a new driver-assist package. With this, the updated pickup now comes standard with electronic stability control (ESC), traction control (TC) and hill-start assist (HSA).

2017 Isuzu D-Max 3.0 LS is available in Cosmic Black, Obsidian Gray, Splash White, Titanium Silver and Venetian Red.

Meanwhile, its price ranges from Php 1,140,000 to Php 1,520, depending on the variant. Prices for each variant are listed below.
