Ford Philippines expose special edition Ranger FX4 in local market

Ford Philippines' local pickup offering gets tricked out in a new blacked-out trim in the Ranger FX4. The special edition model gives the Ranger a pre-dominantly dark theme on its exterior and interior trim and is powered by the company's Duratorq powertrain.

Immediately seen up front is the new exclusive black grill with mesh pattern and the blacked-out foglight bezels. Shod inside the wheel wells are aggressive 18-inch alloy wheels painted black while the bed gets new sports bars which are also finished in black.

Inside, Ford claims the cabin also gets the dark trim treatment. According to the automaker, the unique interior finish will deliver a quality level of refinement in the pickup range. Completing the interior revisions are the FX4 logos embodied on the leather seats.

Powering the all variants of the Ranger FX4 is the 2.2-liter Duratorq turbo-diesel. The engine generates 160 PS along with 385 Nm of torque. Transmissions available include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic. The FX4 is exclusively available as a 4x2 pickup only.

Colors that can be specified for the special edition Ranger FX4 are: Aluminum Metallic, Cool White, Jet Black and Meteor Gray.
